Bamana
Today, Bamana is spoken by
more than 26 million speakers as first or second language
across the western part of Africa. In Linguistics, when you
speak about " Manding", you mean generally the following
dialects: Bambara in Mali and in Senegal, Diula in Cote-d'Ivoire,
in Burkana Faso and Malinke in Guinea-Conakry,etc. The name
Bamana is used to describe the following three dialects :
Bambara, Diula and Malinke.

MANDINGO
This language is mostly spoken in
the Southeastern and south central part of the country. Its
alternate names are: MANDING, MANDINGO, MANDINGUE, MANDINQUE,
MANDE, SOCÉ. Classification: Niger-Congo, Mande, Western,
Central-Southwestern, Central, Manding-Jogo, Manding-Vai,
Manding-Mokole, Manding, Manding-West
Pulaar
Pulaar has about Twenty-eight
dialects. This diversity of dialects is noticeable even within
the same country. However, Pulaar speakers from the same country,
and in a lot of cases, different countries, can communicate
even if they may not speak the same dialect. The Pulaar people
live in most West African Countries, but they do not constitute
a majority in any of them.

Wolof
The Republic of Sengegal
is home to more than 3 million wolof people along with the
Fulani, Serer, Toucouleur, Dialo and Mandingo Ethnic Groups.
The History of the Wolof people can be traced back to the
great kingdoms of pre-colonial senegal, the empires of Kayor
and Baol. Kayor and Baol are often cited as examples of Wolof
resistance to French Invasion.
